A Guide to Emore
The mystical energies seem to float among the stars. While no singluar person can possess the full knowledge that exists within the realm that we exist, there is a great understanding that the collected knowledge of a group shall provide all with a better understanding of the accursed creatures that bleed into the realm.
The Beginnings.
Welcome to the strange world known as Emore. While you are not exactly visiting the realm, this collection of information should allow you to glimpse the elements of the realm through the strange powers of the Weird. I am sending this information to your using an invention of Arcanum Noctus that has only recently allowed us to spread the information of our realm out to you.
In your realm, you can access a greater window into my realm by using the game that allows you to take the form of a person in the realm, a member of Arcanum Noctus, guided by a person who takes the form of a Warden and delivers the messages to other people. Its... Its honestly a very strange process that I don't fully understand yet myself, but if it gets the truth through to your realm that it has done its job.
These writings are meant to act as a sort of introduction or guide to the actual information and lore that comprises my realm? planet? Home! Emore is the name that we have given to it, though I imagine there are several other names or translations that can be used for this information.
The Languages of Emore.
All the names and quotes from people have been translated from the native language of the different locations to a language that is common in your realm for ease of access from people of your realm. If I am successful in what is being attempted, there should also be examples of how things are written and spoken in the truest languages of Emore, though this does not mean that you have to fully learn or emobody these whenever you explore the realm, it is just a point of reference for you to understand.
The World Itself.
WIthin the realm of Emore, there are a few continents that have been identified and flourished. The largest of these and most populated is the continent of Stanos. However, there have been explorers that have delved into both Corris and Ryedath, though there is much less written about both of these continets and the people and phenomena that occur within their coasts.Stanos
The primary setting for Emore (and the information that I've gathered and written here), the continent of Stanos is in recovering from a great war between the countries that call it home. This war came in the wake of a power struggle that occured during the collapse of the ancient empire known as Oldfront. This collapse led to several nation states that all came to blows to possess the most powerful resources on the continent. There were no winners in the wake of this war, instead leading to a peace treaty that holds place for the moment between each of the nation states.Farrow
With its capital Highfront housed in the ancient capital of Oldfront, Farrow is considered the political and technological epicentre of the nations on Stanos. By far it is the largest of the nations in terms of both landmass and population. Farrow was the first of the nations to develop firearms as a core part of their military campaign, but its continued refinement of the technology allowed for the state to discover that by incuring combustion machines could be made to process some of the more simplistic tasks that others would have at one point put their lives on their line to perform. The development of new technologies has allowed for there to be a powerful understanding of science within the borders. This has led to a government that lacks the strong belief in the power of Magik, particularly how it can be used as a tool rather than a weapon. As a result, Magik and Weird phenomena are mostly hushed by a governmental office in charge of silencing and hiding the truth from the public.Marine
Based along the northern coast of Stanos and a prominent island off the northern coast, Marine is a powerful naval state, with much of its technology and government surrounding the expansion of their naval prowess and particularly profitable trade.Nylan
Nylan is considered by many to be the opposing force to Farrow, it mostly contains decesendants of those who were banished from Farrow in the aftermath of the war who had Magik or were touched by the Weird, as they were considered inferior and somewhat outlandish in the rationalistic minds of the Farrowan government. Nylan is cornered in the south western region of the continent. To some Farrowan people, the people of Nylan are considered to be corrupt by powerful fiendish figures due to the narrative laid out by their government.Voran
Very little is known about Voran, if it even still exists, particularly because it has set itself separate from the rest of the world in the mountainous valley central to Stanos. During the war, it was written that the Voran people were slaughtered by a strange entity that was used by the Nylan people.Corris
The majority of Corris remains unexplored due to a strange phenomenon that until now has remained as a shield against anyone entering the space. This phenomenon has only been called The Barrier by those who have seen it, this is primarily due to its nature as a barrier from the physical space of Corries, but the fact that it has stumped and acted as a barrier to the expansion of knowledge into the Barrier. There are rumblings in the academic community that there was a group of explorers that have entered Corris, but the source and even the possibility of such an event occuring has been silenced by many around the world.Ryedath
Ryedath is primarily a single continent to the east of Farrow, it contains several budding nations of people, though the communication lines aren't clear between many of them and those who reside on Farrow. There is said to be a strong spiritual essence among these people, but the source of their faith and any connection this has to the Weird and Magik has thus remained unexplored by those who are scholars of such things due to a lack of interest by many scholars into the reaelm sof speculation rather than rational understanding of what is visible.A Note on the Histories.
Much of the information that has been recorded about the history of the realm is from the people who live upon the continent of Stanos, this is due to a strange bias in the evolution and development of civilizations. However, this does not mean that there is no information from outside this point of view, but there are more pieces of information that skew towards that point of view.
The primary setting of the world is the country of Farrow, primarily due to its strange nature of shunning Weird and Magik despite its existence, it is also the location upon which Arcanum Noctus runs the majority of their operations, seeking to determine the truths of the realm rather than abandoning its hopes. This being the case, there will often be writings by Wardens from Arcanum Noctus within the different writings, for their view of instilling the truth pushes even through into our own realm.
The Hidden and Open.
in the world of Emore there are several groups who observe into Weird and Magik phenomena. These collectives work in both secretive and open quorums that divulge into the strangeness of the world.Arcanum Noctus
In my own opinion, Arcanum Noctus are the foremost investigators into the Weird and Magik phenomenon that occur within Farrow and the greater regions of Stanos. However, we do not limit ourselves to the possibility of further outreach. I myself, have been given missions occuring with phenomena heading in the direction of Reydath.The Office of Normality
One could consider the Office as a direct opposition to Arcanum Noctus. Their main goal is the elimination of Weird and Magik in the entirity of Farrow, Stanos, if not the entirity of Emore itself. Forgoing my own personal opinion of the Office, they are a core tenemant of the governmental offices installed in the nation of Farrow. The Office, however, remain as a silent set of persons within the nation, serving as the silent enforcers.The Public Order of Weird
The Public Order of Weird (POW), are the most public quorum that discuss the Weird. While their presence within Farrow is quelled, they have a strong following in Marine. I need to learn more of their activities but there is something strange about their motives, they wish to make all aware of the phenomena and their effects.I hope that all the information I have written for you will guide you in the realm of Emore and the ways that it will provide you an understanding for how our realm can be explored in your realm. You will assume the form of a figure in my realm and learn more of the strange and powerful creatures that inhabit it. I know that it is unlikely but I hope that someday we shall meet and the truth shall be pervasive within all realms. Keep your mind open and hold courage in your heart. Till we meet again.
