Roots
Living roots shoot out of the ground and entangle everything within the area of the spell. Any opponents within the area must make a reaction check or become rooted and cannot move. If the reaction check is successful, the spell's effect is canceled for that turn. However, the target must make another reaction check at the start of each turn to avoid becoming rooted. When rooted, you can make a guts check to break free.
Simple Channeling
Roots can be used outside of combat to grow roots up a wall in order to create a ladderlike structure. The area of effect changes to a five-foot line that can be extended up to thirty feet.
