Blackbough
A small fishing settlement of a few hundred people.
Recently, those who have visited Blackbough have mentioned that the townsfolk seem a bit restless and those who have spent more than a single night in the village tell of restless sleep that sometimes left them feeling more tired than they were before they bedded down.
Industry & Trade
Mostly subsistence industry, the village most well-known product are the leathers produced from the tannery located on the north end of the village. Other industries include a general store a blacksmith, both of which procure or produce nearly all that the village needs to survive.
Architecture
Many of the buildings and structures of Blackbough are constructed from salvaged driftwood from the nearby beaches with simple dirt floors and rarely of more than one story. Once completed, the buildings are slathered with a tar-like pitch that both weatherproofs them and leaves them the deep black color which gives the village its name. While crudely built, the structures are sturdy and solid.
