A town on the Smoke

Ash River is a town in southern Serukis, located on the banks of the Smoke, one of the larger tributaries of the Serpent river. It has a population of around one hundred and fifty people. The buildings in the town are constructed from a mixture of stone and wood, and the river winds through the centre of town.   A few decades ago, Ash River was caught up in a scandal when several Koushan Mai children were murdered and dumped in the town's fountain. Despite public outcry, the culprits were never brought to justice.
