Bazuur is a large country in the south of the continent of Caia. It is the only country in Caia to cross the equator, and is subject to some of the highest temperatures on Etrea. Bazuur does not recognise four seasons like most of the world, but only a dry season and a wet season.

Much of the country is a mixture of sweltering savanna and deserts, with the south of the country being covered in hot and sticky rainforest. The savanna is criss-crossed with rivers that all but disappear in the dry season. In the rainforest, the wet season lasts much longer than it does in the rest of the country. Mines for precious gems litter the landscape.

Bazuur is obstensibly ruled by the Holy Collective, with the leader known as the High Arcanist. In practice, each city is more or less ruled by an Archon, and those that live in the rainforest do not recognise the Collective's rule.
