Kaien

Kaien is a large country in the south of the continent of Caia, its north bordered by the intimidating mountain range of the Teeth. It is a temperate country, covered in both deciduous and coniferous forests, as well as vast swathes of arable land. To the east, the forests turn into swampland.
Kaien is the centre of the Kaienese Empire, ruled by the Emperor. It is not as powerful as it once was, currently embroiled in a bloody war of independence with the country of Zenra. The Kaienese people still see themselves as the pinnacle of culture and look down on outsiders.
