Kekker's Tunnels

Path of the witches

The Kekker's Tunnels are a network of underground passages connecting the shapeshifter city state of Teht Krekahw to the foot of Mount Ebresh. They were originally built around a thousand years ago, an their main purpose was to transport resources such as wood and stone up to where the city was being built, as well as to maintain some level of trade and access to the outside world.   Their name comes from the Ibrish word for 'witch', and rumours were spread about the tunnels in an effort to keep outsiders away. Unfortunately, continued raids by the Ibrish meant that the tunnels were shut for general use around two hundred years after they were built. They were collapsed in strategic places, preventing anyone from passing through and effectively cutting off access to Teht Krekahw from anyone without wings.
