Sagona

Sagona is the biggest city in the country of Zenra, though it is not its capital. It is located at the northwestern edge of the rainforest, on the banks of the Valkea river. The city is built primarily out of wood and rope crafted from plant fibres, and the inhabitants have built up as much as they have built outwards. Buildings are several storeys high, connected by rope bridges and wooden walkways.
Unlike the majority of settlements in Zenra, Sagona is incredibly diverse. Whilst about sixty percent of the population are human Zenrans, there are also inhabitants from the shapeshifter societies of the plains and the rainforest, as well as from the dragons that usually live deep amongst the trees. There are even a small number of merfolk inhabitants from the Imthic that choose to make the river banks alongside Sagona their home.
