Formula Stencil Plates

Arcana Formulae has always been one of the most difficult Arcane Genres to master. Enchantment is tricky and requires a great deal of care and accuracy, as well as time, to draw out thenjntricate formulas used in the enchanting process. There was a group of Arcanists that developed a unified dialect of glyphs, sigils, and runes. They carefully etched the symbols in metal plates, allowing them to ensure near perfect accuracy when tracing them.

The plates are still made and distributed across the world, but are very expensive and usually the sign of one who makes a living off of the art of enchantment. They are in high demand because of how they make building complex enchantments as easy as possible.

Aesthetic

Stencil plates are often as simple as possible for the sake of making the tracing as easy as it can be. They take the form of cast iron plates with symbols etched out of the plate. The plates are placed on the floor before tracing. One must take great care of their plates. Any damage could make a plate impossible to use.
