Erolis’ memories of her father have formed a soft spot in her heart for highwaymen, at least for capable ones. She always likes to have one in her band who has exhibited success in the field of robbery along the roads. She says those who do well have the potential for bigger and better crimes. They are typically skilled with several weapons and able to live off the land.
Talfanar has acquitted himself well in her eyes. He is dangerous in a fight, has an eye for the most profitable victims and brings a measure of dash and daring to the group.
There are many myths and legends of highwaymen who rob from the rich to give to the poor. While Talfanar enjoys robbing the rich, he spends his “earnings” on gifts and fine meals for his many lady friends, who may not be all that poor.
