The charismatic leader of the Metal Union in Zihlsah is Ihnztahra Maliyah. Unlike many other leaders apt to be found in nicely furnished residences and living a life of relative luxury inside the safe walls of Zihlsah, Ihnztahra lives and works beside her fellow miners year round in the mountains north of town.
Ihnztahra has always been not only willing to lead by example, but her dedication to hard work and going the extra mile alongside her workers has led to her becoming something of a legend amongst those that work the mines.
Ihnztahra’s ability to motivate her workers isn’t contrived or part of some strategy to get more from her miners; she naturally refuses to sit in an office and oversee from afar. She grew up working hard and relishes the work that mining brings.
She takes her love and reverence for hard work into the mines each morning, singing Kuzaarik work songs at the top of her lungs and laboring alongside her crews until some matter needs her attention. Dealing with it as quickly and efficiently as possible, she returns to the work she knows and loves.
When the sun begins to set and the mining shift is done her workers retire to the makeshift taverns for the evening but Ihnztahra works into the late hours taking care of the administrative side of her position.
She surrounds herself with intelligent hard working Kuzaarik who each have a specialized place in the Metal Union. In this way she is able to work hard alongside her crews and make sure the Metal Union is ran well even in a place as isolated as Zihlsah.
Ihnztahra has known about the Deep Dark for as long as she has been alive, having grown up around Zihlsah and been underground most of her life. Although she has been curious about the riches to be made mining the ancient cave system, she knows better than to send her beloved Kuzaarik into a long abandoned place.
Rumors have started swirling however, about the Merchant Union’s growing fanaticism over reopening the ancient tunnel. Ihnztahra knows if she doesn’t commit now the Merchant Union isn’t liable to share the secrets of the Deep Dark. With a tinge of regret and trepidation, the much beloved leader of the Metal Union decides to commit some of her brothers and sisters to uncovering the secrets of The Deep Dark.
If your freeband chooses Ihnztahra Maliyah as their patron, one figure may be given the Breastplate of the Mountains (+1 AV) for the campaign.
On post game casualty rolls a player may reroll one dice per game played.
