Kandoran Faceless
The Faceless is the most dangerous kind of thief known in Kandor - a being so adept at disguising themselves that none know what their true face looks like. It is said that even the Faceless have a hard time remembering their true visage - they spend so much time in disguise that they simply cease to be the person they were and take on the moniker of whatever is necessary to achieve their current task.
Many Faceless start life on the streets of Kandor - in a way they were already faceless. Strays that steal for a living are easily trained to become master thieves who thrive under disguise. In Kandor, there are so many living and dead packed into the cities, few bother to see the faces of the waifs who are stealing from them every day.
Many Faceless are recruited off the street to become members of the Shar Shavax - The Falcon Eyes - a group created by the Ash Khan to keep a wary eye on dissidents within Kandor - especially the zealous necromancers who from time to time rise and try to take over the Khanate.
Eager to escape a life of destitution and hunger, these orphans, abandoned by society, jump at the chance to make something of themselves. They are trained in the art of deception, disguise, and thievery. If they were good thieves before, they are masters now.
Their command of disguise makes them incredibly dangerous. Enemies simply don’t know who to trust, sewing confusion and discord within their ranks - if they even notice before its too late.
The weapon of The Faceless - the Agukrich - is an assassin’s weapon. The Agukrich is a perfectly balanced dagger that can be used in melee for a quick strike or thrown with incredible accuracy. Either way that its used - an enemy usually does not see it coming.
Many continue to live their lives working for the Ash Khan, but some get lost in the shuffle, either slipping away to lead a life of thievery on their own, or continuing to work as a Shar Shavax but finding ways to supplement their income and stave off the boredom of being a spy for the Ash Khan.
They are often hired by Freebands in need of good thieves. Bandit groups pay top dollar for men and women of their skills, though its doubtful that even those working closely with them know their true identities.
