Kor-Khan
To earn the rank of Kor-Khan is an achievement reached by the most elite warriors. The title is conferred by a Khan following
completion of the first twelve of the eighteen Trials of Bahkad. Each trial is a rite of passage demonstrating extreme martial prowess – both in personal combat as well as leading warriors in battle. The Trials can take a lifetime, and most frequently simply take lives.
Khans have been known to task budding warriors with hunting and slaying one of the many giant white grizuhl that roam the ice fields of northern Grular and returning with the pelt. Other trials recorded have included challenging and slaying a rival Khan’s champion in single combat, capturing a renegade warlock, or participating in the Grularan Anarliax – the great horse race across the length of the Khanate. These trials are the forge of Grular military prowess where Kor-Khans master command and tactics or die trying.
To earn the rank of Kor-Khan is an achievement reached by only the most elite warriors and entitles the bearer to lead the Khan’s armies on the field of battle. Kor-khans lead from the front swinging the vicious spikedrakh in one hand and a pulverizing flail in the other.
