The moon-deities Koromai and Koromen

The Koronnans worship the moon-deities Koromai and Koromen. Theological differences with the mainstream Traazorite religion, which worships Runah, the sun god, center on the fact that moon-worship elevated the position of women in Koronnan society to that of equals (Koromai and Koromen are husband and wife representing Faelon’s two moons) which the misogynistic Traazorite leadership could not accept.   The Faeler pantheon (that of Falkaar, Thormenal and Haradel) also recognizes male and female moon-deities, but Valar and Valia are brother and sister, something that continues to cause friction between the two cultures.   Theologians agree that Koromai and Koromen are an expression of the Gaal known as The Eyes. What is less certain is the nature of their rise among the Koronnan people. Is this The Eyes rebelling against her sky-sibling? Everywhere else these Gaal work in harmony. Or is this the power of worship at work, where the needs of the rebels to break from the Empire drove The Eyes in what is now Koronna to outshine the other Gaal among those people.
