Hello and welcome!   My name is Pexuson. I created Cattigagagatta and the dididax for a novel I wanted to write called The Fifth Sense. The story was to be about a young didax who gradually realizes they have a sense that nobody else on the planet has: sensitivity to light (i.e. vision). It was a new spin on the "superhero coming of age" trope, with the twist being that their superpower was incomprehensible to the people in the story but completely common and normal for you as the reader. I was also interested in the idea of uncontrollable telepathy being a standard fixture of life, and how that would impact friends, social structures, and culture. One dimension of this is commentary on social media and people's desire to continually be immersed in even the most meaningless thoughts of others. At some point I realized my world was more ambitious than the story it was created for. So I shifted my focus to writing a collection of separate short stories taking place on Catti, instead.   I'm sharing this world so that others can explore it in their writing as well. If you write science fiction stories or RPG campaigns, I would be thrilled if you included Catti and its people in some way. It doesn't matter whether they are central to the story, or simply mentioned by a character in a throwaway remark. Feel free to add any details you wish about the planet or people, although I do ask that you not write anything that directly contradicts the "canon" published here.
