Sova begins education

Sova begins attending classes at a Valaran school near her family's summer camp.

In the summer, Sova's family were farmers. They left Teskoš and went north, where they established a summer camp by a fertile river and tended the land throughout the short growing season. This turned out to be a perfect arrangement for Sova, because their summer farm was very close to a Rall town. There, she was able to attend school, learn the Rall language, learn to read and write, and discover a passion for learning that would burn within her for the rest of her life.
