Firbolg

The descendants of giants blessed by Melora, goddess of the Wilds, firbolg tribes cloister in remote forest strongholds, preferring to spend their days in quiet harmony with the woods. Legend holds that the first fibolgs planted Melora’s primeval forests, and that the magic of those forests entwined themselves with the fibolgs’ solus as a lasting gift from the goddess. Even those firbolg who have never lived in the wilds of their patron have the primal magic thruming inside of them.
A firbolg’s magic is an obscuring sort, primal in nature despite their connection to the divine, which allowed their ancestors to pass through a forest without disturbing it. So deep is the connection between a fibolg and the wild places of the world that they can communicate with flora and fauna. Firbolgs can live up to 500 years.
