Hadozee

The first hadozee were mammals no bigger than house cats that made themselves at home in the trees of Owana. During the Age of Thauma, an Old Mage took interest in these creatures and began to experiment on them. The Old Mage awoke the creatures and adapted them with potent magic, creating the hadozee as they are known today. It isn’t known why the Old Mage decided to influence the hadozee’s ancestors, be it to create an army, as a gift to the creatures, or out of pure boredom. What is known is that once the Old Mage passed, the hadozee set out across the land, establishing their own communities and joining with others. Now days, hadozee are often found on the ships of merchants, fishers, and pirates that sail from Owana, making use of their natural climbing ability, feet as dexterous as hands, and ability to glide with membranes of skin that hangs loosely from their arms and legs to their advantage as they swing through the rigging.
