Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Short, stocky and muscular. His beard is often groomed and his head is typically shaven very well.

Body Features

Tan skin, dark brown beard. Has hairy arms, chest and back.

Physical quirks

His movement is unpredictable as he walks like a drunk. Even standing, he holds a sway that seems very unstable.

Apparel & Accessories

He typically wears monk's robes, dirty and stained from various alcohols. A faded symbol of a monkey is on the back of his robe.

Specialized Equipment

His boots seem to stand out from the rest of his attire.   Attached to his woven belt is an elaborate gourd/flask.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

He was detached from his Dwarven brethren at a very young age, too long for him to even remember his own parents and family. He was found by a monk elder and brought back to a monastery. However, it was understood that the monk died not long after arriving with Hjolgarn.   The monks decided to raise him as it was clearly important enough to their elder. All of the monks that raised him were humans and naturally Hjolgarn believed he was also human. Race was unimportant to the monastery. The monks felt that his case was especially important to stunt the fact that he was a Gold Dwarf, because they are known to hold materialistic values in their culture.   To this day, Hjolgarn believes he is human (just very short for one) and no one can tell him otherwise.

Education

He was trained in the ways of the Monk, but took up the Drunken Master Technique.

Mental Trauma

He wholeheartedly believes he is a short Human.

Morality & Philosophy

He was taught that all beings should be given a chance at life, regardless of what they are. If a species is raised in a good environment, their existence leads to good choices into adulthood.

Motivation

The desire, no the need, to taste the most magnificent liquor known to the world. He feels that this will lead to his enlightenment.

Likes & Dislikes

Loves anything that is related to alcohol. He is somewhat afraid of caterpillars for some unknown reason.

Patience is a virtue he tries to hold close to him.

Vices & Personality flaws

He thinks he is human and will not turn down a challenge... or a drink.   He likes to keep secrets and doesn't want to tell them to anyone.

Personality Quirks

His large belly seems to bounce up and down unnaturally when he laughs.

Hygiene

Not very clean, as his belongings are normally thrown about near his bed when camping. He believes that a dip in a river in the near future will be enough to satisfy laundry duties.

Religious Views

Lathander was important to his monastery. To this day he "meditates" with him, but does not hold Lathander as high as priests typically would.

Social Aptitude

He tends to sustain more introversion rather than extroversion. This is because he likely has his head in the clouds or wishes to observe others around him.

Speech

Sometimes he slurs words or gets them mixed up.

Wealth & Financial state

As he is detached from his family, he has no investments or funds that he knows of. Only the gold he carries and the necessities in his pack are enough for him. He was taught not to depend on material things.
