The Brotherhood of Chaos

The Brotherhood of Chaos are a loose grouping of powerful individuals and groups whose overarching goal is to destroy law, order and societal norms and to sow chaos across the lands. What drives these people's lust for anarchy is often unknown, and it is often the case that a strong willed and charismatic individual has simply polluted otherwise sane people's minds.
As is perhaps befitting an organisation dedicated to chaos, the group's power and influence has ebbed and flowed through the centuries. Many believe them responsible for catastrophes such as the opening of the demon gate during the Lost Ones War, the recent collapse of the Church of Gora, and even the War of Dragons. However, there have been times where the organisation has been thought destroyed, torn apart by internal power struggles and fighting. As such, and quite ironically, it often relies on a forceful leader to maintain some semblance of order and structure. Even when such a leader emerges though, there is often still internal struggles within the organisation.
After the collapse of the Church of Gora, and the War of Dragons, some began to suspect the resurgence of the Brotherhood. While the existence of it's latest incarnation has been confirmed, it's followers (even under torture) only whisper about their new leader, a prophet who haunts their dreams and grants them euphoric visions of absolute chaos.
