The Scarlet Society

The Scarlet Society are an unseen and largely unknown force in Gereth. Made up of many people, of many different races and world views, they are a factitious and suspicious lot. The driving principle and the single view that is held by all of the Scarlet Society is simple, might makes right, those with power are those who make the difference, and the seeking of this power in it's many forms is the goal of the society.
The Society has been in existence for at least a thousand years and has been involved in some of the greatest and direst events in Gereths history. Their influence stretches from the floating Haelen continent to the great decaying city of Kathos Li to the halls of Boralis Fir Sli and beyond, even the Cragstone and Gemshield Dwarven Holdings.
Members of the society have many different agendas and few share their eventual goals but all realise that to accomplish their goals they need power. Not all members believe that the end justifies the means though many do and strive to achieve power through nobler methods, these members tend to become either very powerful very fast or die at the hand of other members with a more flexible moral compass.
