The Specter of Jal Izid

Jal Izid was one of the more dangerous Halorics that existed before The Reformation of Gigornous. Extremely wrathful against her enemies she fought against SO's and Galria's efforts to destroy the Lanthanots and Hydras. Zarmus and Xarma were hers to rule. So devoted to her task of preservation she overlooked the transgressions of Zarmus' Legion. Jal even went so far as to take physical appearance as a Lanthanot.
Jal Izid wielded in life Ta'Falia, Ka'Thiem, and Ga'Tharai Shol. Although powerful enough to survive The Reformation of Gigornous, Jal's physical form was destroyed by Ailu when she was lured into a Ka'Thiem Plague Mountain. Jal was tricked into believing that a series of volcanoes were the hidden location of Ikiini's cloning facilities. These volcanoes were inert until the moment Ailu's trap was sprung. They erupted killing Jal's physical form and the Ka'Thiem spells laced throughout the volcanoes kept her too weak to escape in her incorporeal form.
Determined to escape, Jal depleted all her Shol to the point of reaching into Negative Shol. Also known as Shol debt, this state allows for continued use of Shol but if the user can't repay it they become a Specter.
As a Specter, Jal Izid remains anchored to the volcanic wastes of her demise plotting and searching for way to escape undeath and to bring revenge on Ailu and the world she fought to save that left her behind.
Lanthanots revere Jal Izid and make journeys regularly on the main continent of Gigornous to places that are volcanic in honor of her memory. Though she isn't technically dead, the Lanthanots believe that she is and won't return to protect them until they find her resting place. Knowing she died in a volcanic area they make nomadic journeys to and even make war on territory that fits the right description. This is also why dragons frequent mountains or make them into lairs. The chance that volcanic activity may occur and herald Jal's return is too great an opportunity.
