Messenger

Travelling all over the world on their trusty Otts, messengers are an essential part of society in Hesli. They bring letters and packages from localised post offices to their respective recipients. Depending on the desired delivery speed, they might switch to a Tezz which is faster but has less endurance than the Ott.
To the other side of the city?! People these days really are too lazy to walk, geez..

Freedom

To be a successful messenger, it is important to like two things: Otts and travelling. They are constantly on the road, sometimes for days on end simply to delivera letter or a package. It comes as no surprise that most don't have a family with children, but rather are younglings looking for a way to see the world and get paid for it. But don't be fooled, it isn't as glamorous at it seems to be.
"What happened to you?!" Crinoah screamed as her son stumbled through the door. His hand was firmly pressed on his side, with cuts tearing up both clotes and skin.
"Yeah.. about that.." he panted, "Picani's have claws.. and sharp ones at that."
"Oh you stupid boy," she grabbed him and sat him down on a chair while pulling up a drawer full of medicine and bandages. "Why do you still work for them?! This is no way to live. I don't want to see you return, all cut open again."

Competition

In Eshil, there are hardly any messengers employed. According to Limani Supplies Dealer, a messenger, even with a Tezz, was too slow for delivering their parcels and letters.   In an attempt to solve this, an accident occurs in one of the cloning facilities which resulted in the birth of the WafflePhoenix. It could fly much faster than a messenger can travel, and it's better capable of finding the merchants on their routes.
They also turn into a plate of waffles when they die! That is just brilliant, no one can compete with that.

I love the quotes in this! That poor mother, I can feel the exasperation.   Imagine being rendered obsolete by delicious, delicious waffles.

Most messengers didn't like it at first to be replaced by flying waffles. But they cannot argue that they can live less risky lives now. ;) Former messengers in Eshil therefore like to pester their fellow co-workers in other parts of the world by sending messages with a wafflephoenix. xD
