Lon Lon City

Demographics

Since Lon Lon is in the middle of Hyrule, there are many types of people from all over that travel to and live in the city. While the majority of the population used to be Hylian, it's now branched out to be about equal between Hylians, Rito, Shiekah, and Twili.

Government

Before The Wardens of Hyrule came to call Lon Lon their home base, there really wasn't much in the way of proper government besides a loose democratic system. Now, Grandmaster Tetra-Val, as leader of the Wardens, has taken over the role of leading the city through an agreement that was reached when the Wardens were founded.   Every leader since then has been democratically elected, and the laws of Lon Lon are made by a judicial branch of the Wardens, and upheld by the Wardens' Guard they have posted throughout the city.

Defences

Even though there is a wooden wall around the outskirts of the city, it has not seen much use or repair in recent years. However, there are usually a fair amount of guards patrolling the city streets and guarding the southern gate.

Industry & Trade

The city of Lon Lon has a wide variety of traders coming in and out of its gates, and as such, sees a wide variety of merchandise. Gerudo jewelers sometimes pass through on their way to the city of Ingot on the other side of Hyrule, Kokiri shepherds pass through on their way to Castle Town, and farmers and artisans from Central Hyrule come and sell their animal products and crops.

Infrastructure

Most of the buildings in the innermost part of the city are made out of sturdy brick and stone, and most of the streets are cobbled. Towards the outer parts of the city, the houses and stables are built of sturdy wood, some of which is brought all the way from the Kokiri Forest.

Assets

The Wardens' Keep is home to a sizable armory, as well as a treasury.

History

Long, long ago, the city of Lon Lon was once just a simple farm, boasting the fastest horses in the land and the best milk you could buy. But as Hyrule grew, so did the farm, eventually growing into a small village, and then a town, and now a city. Its centralized location became an important asset, as it became a crossroads for trade and travelers.
