Titanic Pantheon
The Titanic Pantheon was made of five Celestial beings known as Titans. They were thought to be before time, and the prime movers of creation in our good world. Together, they forged the world, both through their initial acts of creation, and also through their continuous clashes with one another. Their names were; Dracaris, the Dragon, Maelar, the Man, Elyatar, the Elf, Dwegidh, the Dwarf, and Ok-Raga, The Orc. One Titan for each of the primary mortal races we see in Iatar today, for they created them. Now, don't get the idea from my flowery speech that they were anything to be admired. They were the utmost of tyrants, using their mortal creations as but expendable pieces in their endless game for dominance, all except for Dracaris, who was more benevolent. All this led to their eventual downfall at the hands of my predecessors, now the Gods of Iatar, during the war known as the Great Clash, but that's a tale for another time.
Five in number, the Titans of Iatar were the ultimate creators of Iatar, both in its very formation out of The Chaos, and in the breathing of sentient life into the world. They each created their own race, and ruled over them with absolute malice, using them as soldiers in their endless wars against one another. The ruled over Iatar with absolute supremacy by way of sheer disparity of power. Their command over The Chaos was unparalleled, and many believe that such mastery will never be achieved again, not even by the Gods themselves. One of their common practices was to gift their devout followers with control of their own over The Chaos, a practice which eventually led to their downfall, which is detailed in the accounts of The Great Clash. Eventually, during this war, they were killed by the ones now known as the Gods of Iatar, and no-one has seen or heard of a Titan since.
The Titans
The Titans of the Titanic Pantheon are as follows;Titanic Cults
There are many in Iatar today who worship one or more of the Titans as their patron. In most civilised places, this practice is deemed highly heretical, and such cults are hunted down with extreme zeal by the Order of Vengeance. Worship of Dracaris is quite popular amongst the Dragons of Iatar, however, with many of them believing it impossible to truly kill a Titan.Structure
Whilst no established hierarchy exists amongst the Titanic Pantheon, Dracaris reigned supreme over the rest of the Titans. However, each Titan had their own role in the creation of Iatar, and without any of the individual efforts of a given Titan, Iatar would be an incredibly different place today.
Disbandment
All five of the Titans were supposedly slain during The Great Clash, thus ending their dominion over Iatar, and their tyranny of the mortal races.
