Arkai (City)

The Arkaiin Capitol and a near perfect circle, Arkai sits not too far from the North Eastern coast with the Suicital mountain range in view. It appears a small city at first but this is primarily due to how the Arkaiins build, their farms are tiered and go deep into the ground where they are fed through artificial substrate and sunlight and sourced with water from the underground lakes and rivers that flow from the mountains. Much of their homes are built in a similar fashion. Above the surface is a series of research facilities, libraries and observatories with the Opulent Apex being central to the city. This massive structure hosts the governmental buildings, educational facilities and is the central storage point for all of the Arkaiin knowledge and history. The Apex is suspended by seven struts/entry points over a large shaft that connects to a vast underground lake, Lake Lucent, beneath the city; much of the city overlooks this lake and is connected by bridges and a large train system around the perimeter. The surroundings of the Apex on the surface are a large network of artistic gardens and tranquil areas fed by minimal roads that connect each entrance to the city underground. The city does not have walls around the immediate perimeter but instead has an array of alarm posts and garrisons dotted around the entirety of the Arkaiin lands, all connected beneath the ground and all sealable should an enemy breach the defences. Much of these posts are well hidden within the landscape. Just under the surface of the perimeter of Arkai, and most Arkaiin cities, is a large tunnel which works as a generator covered in Glyphs. The tunnel uses Glyphs chemically combine the atoms of Oxygen from Hydrogen already present in the air into water. The water is then fed into the planting systems and eventually the city to provide a fresh water source with the reaction generating electricity which powers the city.
