Bustling cities scattered throughout trees ladened with lush leaves, magic sparks bursting around every corner. Even with busy streets, market districts full of travelers and residents buying and selling, and caravans weaving through the cacophony, one can still hear the hush of moving leaves, blown by a silent summer wind. Cities in the Elven Forest are like no other, mixing nature and technology, magic and traditional ways like a perfect dance, everything moving in perfect time, never missing a step. In the cities of the center of the Elven Forest, one finds the home of the Jade Elves, the intrepid magic wielders of the Elves.
Jade Elves are the more magically inclined of the Elves, choosing to live in largely populated areas where their focus can be turned towards pursuits of culture and magic instead of survival. These areas are often home to archives and libraries that serve as repositories of magical knowledge. The most well-known of these institutions is the Unending Scroll in Alfensil that serves a large population of Jade Elves in the capital.

Anatomy

All Elves share anatomical traits with Humans, but the outward traits of Elves are heavily influenced by magic and the areas of the Elven Forest they call home. Traits such as skin tone, hair color, eye color, and others are heavily influenced by magic usage, especially in the Jade Elves. Unnatural colors are common and some Jade Elves use their knowledge of magic to alter their appearance further like their relatives, the Ancient Fey and Wanderer Elves.

Jade Elves have a variety of skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors that are sometimes unnatural when compared to other races. Because of their heavy attachment to magic, these Elves often have appearances that are influenced by their magic or enjoy altering their appearance. Skin tones can range from a pale white to a light tan depending on where the Elf is from. Hair colors are can be natural or wild, including browns, blues, reds, blondes, and others. The color of their eyes has a much smaller range, but are often shades of blue, green, or possibly purple.

Jade Elf Culture is heavily based on the study and pursuit of magic due to the nature of Jade Elves being naturally inclined towards difficult magic. Technology and magic replace the traditional ways that are still practiced in Emerald Elf Culture, allowing Jade Elves long stretches of time, sometimes decades, to pursue things such as art, writing, crafting, or study.
With the Unending Scroll, magical technology is rampant, bettering the lives of those that live throughout the Elven Forest. Jade Elves tend to embrace these advancements more than other Elves, allowing their lives to be much simpler in some ways but more diverse and fulfilling in others.
