Grint's Forge

Grint's Forge is located on the continent of Nevisent along its western coast, and at the base of souther Nevisent mountains.   Grint's Forge is known for its glass, a rare commodity in Plane of Karenth. The trading post and city of Grint's Forge is known for its ability to make high quality glass. The glass is highly desirable to mages, alchemists, aristocrats, and artisans throughout the known world.   While the Forge is a small town, only a couple thousand people, it is built in an existing Nethen city. Bricks and materials found in the city were used to build the forges and kilns and furnaces found throughout the city. Almost half of the populace is involved in the industry in some form or another. Some people work as operators of the furnaces, others mix the ingredients, some work harvesting the sands, coal for the furnaces, and other ingredients necessary to make glass.   The city also has a small port able to accomodate 2 ships at a time. The ships bring in additional food and ammenities desired by the population such as spirits, wines, mead, whiskey, and so forth. The city has several breweries for ale and beer.   The buildings around the docks are covered with beautiful stained glass windows to remind the traders why they have come to Grint's Forge.   Near the docks are many of the things often found by docks such as warehouses, taverns, repair facilities, houses of ill repute and so forth. However, there are also crate makers and large quantities of straw stored nearby for the transport of the raw glass materials.   The city is run by the Glassing Guild who also controls all aspects of trade in the city, levies taxes, and maintains the standards of the city.   The city of Grint's Forge is run by the
