Hous Mal Finab
The Order of Eight does not always do their own dirty work. In the case of Hous Mal Finab, he is on the permanent payroll of the Order to do the unsavory tasks for which they do not want to dirty their hands. He is permanently on call for the Order.
Hous is a half-elven warrior who started out his career as a member of the Thieves Guild of Grayton's Lot. He is cold hearted and willing to do what it takes to get the job done. His stature of 5'8" and 160 pounds demonstrates the muscles that he has put on getting ready for the battles he has fought. His finess is legendary among those who know him. He fancies the use of stilettos when they fit the job, but he wields is longsword and a dagger when there is a real fight to be had. Normally he can be found wearing a heavy black set of boiled leather which appears as banded armor and skirt. His pants are black with black shin guards and boots. Much like the clothing he wears, his hair is unnaturally black and slicked back into a shoulder length mat.
Hous came into the service under strange circumstances, but it is believed that he was cursed by Ho-ran Irontongue some years back after he tried to kill the dwarf under a contract from the thieves guild. He will not turn his back on the Order under any circumstance, and will do any quest they set him on.
Originally born to the wife of a sailor, and abandoned at a young age, Hous grew up on a ship full of merchants that treated him with disdain and he was forced to clean up after them. He finally got even when, one night after the crew had arrived at port in Grayton's Lot, Hous went through and systematically cut the throats of every member of the crew including the captain while they were all drunk from the fresh brew they had acquired. He caught the eye of the guild as three of the members were on the dock and saw the entire thing happen. He was quickly recruited and his training began immediately.
Since that time, Hous left the guild, and went to work for the Order. He gets a lot of free time between orders, and can sometimes be found fighting in the pits, or betting on the fights. But Hous never drinks alcohol, nor does he use drugs. He finds his skills to be much sharper when they are not hindered by the effects of liquor or drugs. That being said, Hous always has a bottle of strong liquor with him and some djangle. After all, you never know when the next hit is going to take place, and an inebriated mark is an easy mark.
