Chronicles of the Tidal Company: Part 1

After our first excursion into the captured lizardfolk compound, our group made its way back to the swamp-bay where we moored our craft. We discussed our next course of action, if we should go back to town after our initial exploration, continue our delving and learn more about the sahuagin force like we were initially tasked with, or leave Mistbrooke harbor entirely. Ultimately we decided we hadn't really met the requirements tasked of us by the War Council.   Towards the beginning of the rest, with the sea-birds going on, I made a remark to the party about how they raised the spirits. Sir Jastiel didn't really agree with me, so I figured it was just about the gulls, "winged sea-rats" he called them. I then posed the question about an eagle. Since Keawe had also seemed to show a disdain for the gulls (though he was heavily injured, and gulls are notorious scavengers), would not an eagle soaring lift the spirits of a barbarian, and the majesty of a fishing king seem radiant to a cleric of the rivers and streams and oceans? Jastiel still held firm to his hill and it became clear the disdain was not just for gulls, but for all feathered creatures; which could possibly include humanoid avians. Further investigation required.   We woke the following day after an uneventful rest, but I think Keawe still needed another good night's sleep. He suffered grievous injuries during our encounter with the shellshark monstrosities and still seemed exhausted from his endeavors even after a long night's rest.   After some breakfast and discussion, our group decided to enter back into the compound from our previous exit and entrance, the prison and torture chamber. Keawe and Jastiel discerned there hadnt been any activity in the room since we left, so we decided to delve further into the compound, going the opposite direction than when we first came in.
