Ak-Kol

Nomadic people believe that spirits live in everything.
Ak-Kol is the water spirit who is said to live at the bottom of lakes and rivers. She is often shown as a young woman with long hair, wearing a dress made of reeds or grass. She is a kind spirit and helps people who are lost or in danger.
Tengri is the sky spirit, who is said to live in the sun and the stars. He is often shown as an old man with a long beard, wearing a robe made of feathers. He is a wise spirit and helps people who are looking for knowledge.   The Tengri spirit is said to be the spirit of the sky and is often feared by the nomadic people. They believe that this spirit controls the weather, and so they make offerings to it in order to ensure good weather for their herds.
