This night has been accompanied by a soft rain. I am unsure how it's raining without clouds but I have other things to care about. There is also some kind of fog surrounding the island, so I can't see too far.

I decided to stay on the top of the lighthouse tonight, so I climbed the stairs and opened its eye with ease. The fog surrounding the island was hypnotic, it seemed to dance and I just couldn't stop looking at it.

At some point, I saw a bird. It entered the island and flew a couple of times around the lighthouse before desappearing again. Its black plumage dotted with white looked like a small night sky, and its peak and legs seemed to pulse with light.

The rest of the night was calm.
