Giant

The Giants might be gone, but their legacy was built for the ages. It was here before us, and it will be here long after us. We are what remains of these ancient people, the last to hold up their history and their ways.

Giants were a huge species of humanoid creatures. The exact description varies depending on their place of birth, but usually they stood at least twice the size of a normal human. They were one of the first sentient species to walk the face of Lothrea at the beginning of the Dawnera. They built great empires and their ruins count to the greatest wonders of this world, but during the Sundering most of them vanished. The ones remaining quickly died out, and today only a few people still have giant blood running through their veins.
There are two places where you can find the remains of the Giants today - the Sichel in the north, and Kathal'Dir on the Golden Coast. Peoples living in either place tend to grow larger and stronger, often attributed to the traces of Giant blood in their bloodline.

Legacy

While not much is known about the Giants of the Sichel, the legacy of the Giants of Kathal'Dir has survived the ages. Their ruins fill the island, creating an incredibly imposing landscape. The culture of the people of the island, the Giantborn, entirely revolves around the legacy of the Giants. They explore the ruins, hold on to the ways of the Giants - based on strength and constitution - and even send their young into the ruins to prove themselves during the Arokush.
From time to time, people claim to have encountered a Giant - or at least one of their remaining descendents. While these creatures are still incredibly strong and dangerous, they are only a shadow of their ancestors, having lost most of their size and nearly all of their intelligence.
