Resurgence

This article is depicting a potential future of this world. Some events in here might not have happened yet and will be changed by the actions of the players involved in this world. Until these campaigns have concluded, this article will exist in a superposition between existance and non-existance.   Some version of this article will survive, but who knows what it will be when all of this is over

For hundreds of years after the War of Fate, people like me didn't exist - they call us Plane Touched. I've been told that back then the influence of the other planes was just to little to matter. But then in 150 years ago, in the spring of 755, a lot of us suddenly appeared again. Nobody knows what happened, but people got overwhelmed and scared.
The Resurgence was an event in the spring of 755 MOR, when countless Plane Touched where born all at once. After the War of Fate the influence of the other planes was hardly noticable, and practically no Plane Touched were born at all. Starting in the year 702, a handful of plane touched appeared all over the world, and some scholars became interested in the phenonoma.   Then in the spring of 755, for still unknow reasons, the influence of the other planes suddenly reappeared, causing countless of babies to be born as Plane Touched. This led to a lot of conflict in some nations, as the people got scared about the sudden appearance. Plane Touched often have a natural affinity for magic, deepening the fear of their uncontrolled existance.   In the Kingdom of Abonaria the Academy of Arcane Arts opened their doors to the new Plane Touched, promising to help them hone their skills. Many families where excited for their children to get into such a prestigious school, so the sinister dealings of the Academy went on unnoticed for decades.   Instead of just teaching the Plane Touched, the academy wanted to study them. Trying to understand why they suddenly appeared. After an indicdent on the central square of Asolios, where the uncontrolled magic of a Plane Touched killed dozens of people, they even convinced the King of Abonaria to make attending the academy mandatory for Plane Touched.   From this point forward, the acedemy no longer hid their original intentions of studying the Plane Touched. Countless families fled the country. Some went to Estaria, but many more fled to Okodranous in the south. There they found a refuge in the Shadowcliff. To this day, a subculture of Plane Touched, the Planars, exists in the Shadowcliff.
