Worldbuilding Awards 2024

This article is depicting a potential future of this world. Some events in here might not have happened yet and will be changed by the actions of the players involved in this world. Until these campaigns have concluded, this article will exist in a superposition between existance and non-existance.   Some version of this article will survive, but who knows what it will be when all of this is over

This article will be expanded upon in the future

The first voting period for the World Anvil Worldbuilding awards has just started, and looking at all the entries, it will be a fierce contest. So far I have no clue who I should vote for, as there are so many amazing entries out there, and all of them would deserve to win. Regardless of that, I also submitted a couple articles for the awards.
You can vote for my entries, or any of the other amazing articles, by heading to the page and pressing the vote button. You don't even have to have a World Anvil account.

Hearts and Minds

She made them believe in a brighter future, so they called her "Shadowbloom" - a bloom in the shadows.

I'm still incredibly happy with how my entry to the Bard Challenge in early 2022 turned out, and she is just the perfect candidate for the Hearts and Minds award. She has moved hearts and minds more then any other character in my world, and might have started a rebellion she can no longer control. You can even listen to one of her original songs!

Rise of Nations

The Scene shifts, as you witness great underwater cities and settlements vanish right in front of your eyes.

The Eternal Reef tells the story of the Triton people, and one of their brightest stars. A resting place of a hero who's death has shaped the history of an entire region. While this is a simpler article, I'm still incredibly happy with how it turned out and the emotions it conveys.

Best Worldbuilding Article

But in this endless void, there was a single mote of light. A tiny piece of light and hope - the beginning of something great. The beginning of everything that exists today.

My pantheon is probably the best thing I've created in Lothrea so far. Lothrea isn't a world of good vs. evil or light vs. dark, it's a world of various shades of grey, and the pantheon is no different. When I set out to create my own gods, I wanted complex and multi fascaded deities, with views and morals people might not agree on. Non of these gods is just good or just evil, all of them exist on a spectrum between those two extremes.

Thanks for giving this a read!
