Steelsong is a chapter of martial practice that originated from the outskirt nations of east Tawdrii. Often considered the most beautiful of swordsmen, practitioners of Steelsong dance through the battlefield with grace, the clattering of steel against steel ringing out like a staccato symphony to which it owes its name.

Mastered by the Volk Tribes

Developed by the Volk before even written history, Steelsong has been passed down, improved upon & broken into a countless assortment of variations by the hundreds of tribes of the Volk. Among the most complicated martial arts throughout all Tawdrii, Steelsong has grown to encompass a wide variety of daggers, swords, sabres & most sharp-edged weaponry. Because of this, the sheer variety of options which a master of Steelsong can muster in any given conflict makes them an unpredictable & dangerous force.

Closely Guarded

Each tribe of the Volk closely guards the methods & lessons of their homes, and rarely give the gift of their knowledge to those initiated by their ilk. To earn the right to be trained in Steelsong, one must earn the deep trust of one of the Volk, proving that their interests & that of their tribe run parallel. Some Volk in the criminal realms of Kindred society have begun disseminating a less graceful descendant of their homeland's artful form of combat.
