Our Story

Brigid's B&B has been a Lupine Bay institution since time immemorial. Citizens and travelers alike flock to the property to marvel over the profusion of rare flowers tucked into every nook and cranny. At some point, also lost to time or memory, The Shamrock Bar & Grille addition was built alongside the B&B.
For many years, the B&B and bar were owned and run by Brigid O'Gowan herself, a gracious and welcoming hostess, always ready to lend a hand or listen to patron's tale. Her generous nature was deeply valued by the townsfolk, especially her regulars. One group in particular visited as many nights as possible, solely to patronize the business and support Brigid.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck the O'Gowan family one fateful night when a fire raged out of control, destroying their home. The home was located on the same property as the businesses, but thankfully those buildings escaped unscathed. Although both of Brigid's children were able to escape the fire, the beloved matron herself was lost to the ashes.
Although overcome with grief, Brigid's daughter would not allow her mother's legacy to sink into ruin without a fight, nor would she allow her younger brother's to face additional upheaval. At only 19 years of age, Ava received full custody of her brother, Ian, and took over Brigid's.
Brigid's has had its share of difficulty since that dark day, but we're happy to report that we're still here and still open! Stop by and smell the roses, and grab a frosty pint from the Shamrock while you're here!

Entertainment

Frank | Skald in Residence

Frank started making appearances at the Shamrock only a short while ago. He plays a variety of instruments, although one almost-a-guitar is his favorite. He loves playing for a crowd, and can occasionally be convinced to participate in one of the many games we play here at the Shamrock. If you beat Frank, you might end up winning novelty coins of surprising heft!

Staff

Ava O'Gowan | Owner

Ava is 22 years young and likes long walks on the beach and piña coladas. Luckily she owns a private beach and a bar, so she can indulge whenever she so desires!
PSA: If you ever see Ava running towards a forest, immediately start walking calmly but quickly in the opposite direction. This is for your own safety.

Charley Wilhard | Head Bartender

Charlotte "Charley" Wilhard has been Ava's best friend since elementary school, and graciously offered to help with bar tending while the O'Gowans get back on their feet. She has a secret, I can tell, but I haven't figured out what it is yet!

Kushiel Rutilus | Publicity

Hey, it's me! I'm probably the most charming and suave person you'll encounter in your travels. I have taken up temporary residence at Brigid's to lend my expertise and assistance to the family. Can you that believe before I got here, they didn't even have a website??

Seamus | Bouncer

Don't let his picture fool you, Seamus is a big ol' teddy bear on the inside, a real soft touch. That being said, people claim he might have single-handedly wiped a species or two from existence. So, you know, don't go poking that bear with a stick. I also don't recommend falling in love with him, it's sure to end badly.

Zaqiel Ward | Chef in Residence

The only thing you need to know about Zaq Ward is that he makes better food than anything you can get on Earth. He's supposed to be here to kill us and steal our stuff, or at least that's our theory, but he was so entranced by Ava's kitchen that he started cooking and forgot to go back to murdering. He'll kill your desire for food from anywhere else, that's for damn sure.

Bali Raj | Assistant Bartender

Raj is new in town, but he won't be here for long.
I wouldn't recommend getting attached.
Honestly, he's only bartending for the Shamrock because the business is short on staff and Raj is short on business.

Breakfast

Served 7AM - 9AM Daily

• Buttered Toast & Jam - $1.00 per slice
• Scrambled Eggs (3) - $2.50 (add cheese for $1.00)
• Bacon (4 strips) - $3.00
• Cheerios or Captain Crunch - $1.00 (to go box)
• Oatmeal - $2.00 (add toppings for $1.00)
• Seasonal Fruit - $1.50
• Orange Juice or Apple Juice - $1.50
• Hot Chocolate - $1.50 (add toppings for $0.50)
• Coffee - $1.50

Lunch

Sack lunches are available for $6.00 each, if requested by 9PM the night before. Includes:

• Sandwich; PB&J or Turkey & Cheese w/lettuce, onion, tomato
• One lunch sized bag of chips
• Seasonal fruit
• Carrot sticks & ranch
• Dessert of the day
• One canned soda or bottled water. Reusable bottles can be filled in the kitchen.

Dinner

Served 6PM - 10PM Daily

• Frozen pizza - $7.00
• Chicken Nuggets (1 dz) - $5.00
• Hamburger - $6.00 (add cheese for $1.00)
• Velveeta Mac & Cheese - $3.00 (add lil' smokies for $2.00)
• Grilled Cheese - $4.00 (add bacon for $2.00)
• PB&J - $3.00
• Chips - $1.00
• Fountain drink (Coke, 7UP, Rootbeer) - $1.50

• Need a place to stay? Well you're in luck, cause Brigid's B&B is right next door!
• Are you an antiques buff? Do you like rare books? Well look no further than Bathory Antiquities! Just be warned, it's only open after dark.
• If you've a mind to set sail on the deep blue sea, Josh Halloran, owner of Halloran Fishing Charters, would love to be your captain.
• One of the newest establishments in town is serving up delicious breakfast all day long. Head over to The Drowning Duck and treat yourself with their specialty pancakes - magic tricks are on the house. ;)
