Thank you so much!! :D Whatever you do, make sure you upgrade to something without an auto-update feature; my latest version of Official/Honest/Novelty/Octane cyberwork had a couple of mandatory hotfix pushes that broke everything--including the bloatware that came pre-installed. I know you get what you pay for but man, OHNO really has to stop skipping QA!

This is an amazing article! So many examples for the various areas of cybernetics and also some illegal ones. Really interesting to see how you just need cybernetics to keep up. Also becoming a test person to climb back up speaks about how bad it must be to live at the bottom.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! There will be more illegal ones in a later planned article: Advanced Cybernetics includes organwork. Life at the bottom leads to quite a bit of desperation, fueled by not just the living conditions themselves, but also some FOMO (fear of missing out, especially if you've fallen from further Upwards to begin with) and verrrry targeted corporate promises.

Anyway, I'm glad you shared this on T.J.'s Twitter thread because now I have a second chance to tell you that this is great and I love how comprehensive it feels. Reminds me of a page from a TTRPG manual that I would dog-ear and come back to again and again while creating characters. So very well done!

Reading all the various listings of chrome was giving me real flashbacks to making characters for Shadowrun, and I'm right back in the cyberpunk settings I love so much. The way you talk about how they've influenced cultures and how people see them is great, the kind of world-building context that really makes an article come to life. I love it :D If I had any feedback to give, it would be that the text becomes very busy in some places and could do with some more spacing between parts to let them breathe. The side panel in the start seem like there are some items that could benefit from being split into two paragraph (and I can feel the formatting pain from over here) Fantastic work, Dani :)

The mixing of lore and extensive list of augmentations create a delightfully diverse catalogue of the whimsical and practical enhancements for all manner of uses. Simply wonderful! P.s. This is such an awesome piece of work! :D
I love it how you included the main branch of the tech with a vast, vast amount of different side branches and divided into senses. The division into common, rare and illegal made me think of that I never considered the subject — now I start to brew it or every tech I see. It makes me perceive the writing and reality differently, for which I'm very greatful! :D
Are there any additional chips, designed to add sensations normally not experienced by human body? I'm thinking magnetic field and other fields types? I can see Magnetic Gravity Defiers but not sure how much these add the ability to sense field and how much to manipulate the attraction force on magnetic materials.

As one of the technology articles, I found this one the most intriguing among my selection of articles about Technologie. What I liked most is the depth of the article, the added images and the readability. The implications in technology make you wonder what would happen to criminality, diseases, overall health and in my case I started working on the "when do you stop being human?". AI will evolve, when will we consider it to be alive? what are the "rules" when AI evolves will we be able to notice the difference between an upgraded human with a brain or a cyborg as real as a human body (imposing as a human)? I am researching A.I. and its implications in society; cybernetics are also adding to the mix as well as virtual worlds. This article is above and beyond on several points and therefore the winner. I am certain I will be using your content as food for thought. Excellent article! Thanks for sharing!

Gosh darn, so much amazing examples. The amount of variety you put in for all the different types of upgrades that are available makes me feel like I'm shoppin through a catalog. I really enjoyed the explanation of how common cybernetics are considering the high-risk idea of being tossed down the societal ladder. Makes it all fit in well in terms of what people think of cybernetics.
