The Hakarmaskannar

The Hakarmaskannar

Lore

  • The name literally translates to “The Dragon Protector”. Outside of Elven culture, it is just called “The Dragon”. The name comes from the Noresha Monks, who frequently wrote about this dragon during their time in the forest. They worshipped the dragon, giving it a sort of ‘holy’ presence.
  • Despite the documentation from the Monks, there have been no actual encounters with the dragon by either the Elves or Humans.
  • The dragon supposedly lives on Hobbs Mountain, named after the only Elf to ever ascend the mountain itself, “Elhorn Hobbs”. When he returned, he claimed to have found evidence of a Dragon’s presence, including a cave at the peak of the mountain. However, when he approached the cave he felt such intense dread that he retreated.

Notes from The Weaver

  • The Weaver mentioned to the group that the dragon does exist, but is sealed within the mountain until it is summoned by the forest.
  • The Weaver warned Jade that she is not strong enough to truly handle the creature - who is too dangerous to confront in its current state.
