Liberate the Monastery

"...Without any warning, the wooden double doors at the entrance to the monastery begin to slowly open, before a sudden burst of energy causes them to swing completely to their limit. A gust of cold wind sweeps through the main hallway, leaving behind a slight dusting. Emerging from the entrance are two well-dressed elves. The first is wearing opulent attire, exuding an air of regality and sophistication. He is cloaked in deep emerald velvet with crystal embellishments and a frost-white fur collar that frames his somewhat graceful neck...."   ---   The monastery on the cliffside was once a sacred and peaceful home for Tina. It has since been taken over by a pair of stuffy Elves, who claim ownership of the building through the forest reclamation orders from the Duke. Forced to retreat, Tina must devise a way to get back the place she used to call home.

Known Facts

  • The monastery is an ancient building, constructed even before Hygrim was founded 142 years ago. It is said to be constructed by the Noresha Monks, although one can find no trace of their presence within the halls.
  • The monastery is two stories tall with a basement that is locked away. In her time at the monastery, Tina was never able to gain access to that basement.
  • The ownership of the monastery was passed from Meredith back to the Duke. When confronted on this subject, Meredith noted that the monastery was never truly in her possession. In times of war or crisis, she was ready to pass it back to Hygrim.
  • When the forest reclaimation started, all members of the monastery voluntarily returned to Hygrim.
  • The Duke proceeded to give the Monastery to Vinneit and Clara Gallupi, two Elven Lords from Hygrim. They are the current 'caretakers' of the monastery.

Encounters

  • The monastery was first approached by Grendia and Jade, who were welcomed by Tina.
  • The party proceeded to retreat from the monastery, but not before killing one of the bodyguards and seriously wounding Vinneit.
  • Several days later, Grendira returned back to the monastary, to find it locked tight. A figure, possibly one of the Elves, shouted for her to leave. Grendira was forced to walk away from the monastery.
