Dreamer's Fog is a temporary neurological condition caused by the overuse of Dreamroot. This condition is most common in Nimata, as the predominant users of the drug.

Causes

Those who frequently partake in the use of the drug known as dreamroot are at risk of developing this condition. Casual or light users find very low risk of developing dreamer's fog, but it is not impossible.
Extreme doses of the drug are almost guaranteed to leave the user with dreamer's fog.
There are other herbs and drugs with similar functions to dreamroot which may cause a similar, but less severe version of dreamer's fog. These lesser conditions are often referred to by the same name for convenience, but only dreamroot can cause dreamer's fog proper.

Symptoms

Those afflicted with dreamer's fog experience a clouded mind, and hallucinations which often directly correspond to the visions they observed while under the effect of dreamroot.

Treatment

There is no treatment for dreamer's fog except the passage of time. The condition fades over time, leaving the afflicted with no long-term complications. However, some seek out this state with some regularity, leading to speculation that the condition leaves the afflicted with some form of addiction to either the condition or the drug itself.

Lost in a dream, for far longer than intended. It's not actually as fun as we thought.

Delusions of the Mind

There are those who chase dreamer's fog, believing it to be a true vision of the world. As the drug has already worn off, they claim the hallucinations are the result of heightened senses, a form of truesight, and are the truth of the world they normally cannot see. When the effects inevitably wear off, they seek to find that feeling again.
