Harvest Handcart

This lovely word salad is a heavy work in progress, submitted for SummerCamp! Check in again later to see what changes! If there are details you want to learn more about, leave a comment!
The harvest handcart is a common vehicle in the Harvest Belt of the Kingdom of Arsavela. These carts are used to transport goods ranging from crafts to crops, and everything in between, from the farms of the Harvest Belt to lands beyond. Most often these carts are observed traveling the long roads of the Kingdom of Arsavela up to the borders Uris Braena. The carts are easier to bring into the city of Fiffan than they used to be, in the past, due to Fiffan's infrastructure evolving to accept vehicles from the east.   These carts are pulled by travelers on foot, and are crafted from hard wood and metal parts, with two large wheels on either side of the cart. Beasts of burden are uncommon in travel throughout Arsavela, often only belonging to the rich or those of high status who can afford to tend to these animals both stabled and abroad. Thus, the handcart provides transportation of goods to distant locations without the need of a beast to pull it.   Variations of the handcart have been created that carry larger and heavier loads, with some experimentation in developing handcarts which can be pulled by two or more people at once, allowing for even larger hauls to be transported from farm to market across the Kingdom. Many unsuccessful attempts at engineering such carts have left wishful entrepreneurs stuck on the roadside with goods they could no longer move, though several successful two-person models have started to see more frequent use.   The most successful cartmakers hail from Mirastead, where the business of crafting these vehicles allowed the Mira family to take off as an unofficial family of the Harvest Belt — unofficial, due to their location outside of the Belt itself, but granting them enough economic power to have a voice in the local politics.
