Suna Mondrane is the head of the Alabaster Hand's Inquisitors, and the prime inquisitor of the order.

Inquisitor Rising

Though Suna's appearance would have the city residents believe her to be a kind soul, a simple woman of faith invested in maintaining peace and order within the city, she is one of the major driving forces in the transformation of Aurel's law system in favor of more extreme measures.
Inquisitors were already part of the Alabaster Hand's structure long before she became a part of the order herself, though these initial inquisitors were little more than city guards of a fancier title. In becoming an inquisitor, she quickly set in motion the adoption of harsher law enforcement methods through the manipulation of her cohort and peers, which slowly trickled up to her superiors.

Born for the Job

Though not the first of the inquisitors, Suna quickly rose through the ranks as one of the best of her profession. A mix of careful plotting and some genuine desire to keep the city safe, Suna would rise through the ranks of the order's inquisition as she demonstrated success after success in capturing and drawing confessions from criminals all throughout the city. When she began rooting out heretics and agents of darkness, she truly caught the eye of the order, and was named leader of the Alabaster Inquisitors in a short time.
In her role as leader, she emphasized the importance of having a constant presence throughout the city for all high ranking inquisitors, herself included, not only keep watch over the city, but to ingrain themselves as commonly recognized faces among the city folk.

Breaker of the Academy

The academies of Aurel once taught aspiring scholars about the wonders that once ruled the world, the splendor of the Golden Age of Magic in the hands of the Antecedents. In Suna's rise to power within the Alabaster Hand, the academies were one of her first targets as she personally oversaw the dismantling of any curriculums which covered the subject.
All who resisted her motion to bar such topics from their lecture halls saw swift and cruel judgment. The name of the Antecedents is now scarecely shared, even in whispers, in Aurel's academic halls.

There is nothing more valuable than a strong public image, when cruelty lies just beneath.

A Sharp Image

The Alabaster Hand's cruelty is not known to the general public, and this is largely due to Suna's influence and her carefully curated public image. Suna carries herself with grace, often seen walking the streets of Aurel exchanging pleasantries with the city folk and delivering news of current events.
She presents herself as one of the townsfolk, connected and invested in the community. The latter may be true, depending on who you ask.
