Session 4 Summary: Attack on Gorlanc's Hideout

General Summary

Elrond agreed to a joint attack on Gorlanc's Fort, which scouts located a two days' journey south. The party led a force of about 150 Elves against what appears to be a couple hundred Men and Orcs, as well as possibly a Troll of some sort. Gorlanc must surely lie within.

The party waited until the changing of the guard at dawn, as the Orcs were leaving their posts and the Men began to stir. Two smaller teams of Elves scaled the wooden stockade to take out the guards in the towers, slip over the other side, and open the gates. The main force then rushed in as quickly as possible to take advantage of the confusion.

The battle went largely as planned; a sorcerer needed to be taken out, as well as a Mountain Troll. The party survived, however, although Gorlanc escaped to the south, riding a Warg.

As a perk, there was some loot!
