Middle Earth is arguably the most well-known and popular fantasy world known. This particular setting for The One Ring RPG takes place a few years after the death of Smaug the Golden, in the year 2945 of the Third Age. The events of the Lord of the Rings have not yet taken place, and it is a time of quiet hope and relative peace throughout.
