Ancient forces have shaped the land and commerce of Mistral, an island nation home to a variety of endemic plants and funguses used world-over to create potions, tinctures, and medicines. A vast impenetrable forest, known by Mistralians only as "the copse" makes traversing Mistral overland almost impossible. Circumnavigation by sea is common despite the dangers of piracy and creatures that haunt the depths.   Mistral has remained proudly independent from the mainland despite being small and resource-rich. That independence is currently threatened. The old king has been dead for 10 years. His successor has gone missing, and the Prince Regent is an outsider from the mainland-- a distant cousin to the King ostensibly brought in to advise on trade as war on the mainland makes the exports of Mistral ever-more valuable.   Players will have the opportunity to explore the land of Mistral, restore the country to steady leadership, thwart villains moved to unspeakable evil by greed and grief, and discover the secrets of age-old magic that shapes the very land itself.
