Starting Situation

There is a hidden town. Not on any map. The people there live quiet content lives. It is a town inspired by Studio Ghilbli. There is a baker, a pizza shop, a coffee shop, an art museum, and friendly playful spirits. It exists in Neomerin.
However you are nowhere near it.
You all find yourselves running out of money in Myriani, a city by the sea built for the Queen during the third generation of Brirenthian rule. Queen Myriani wanted a place where the artists of the kingdom could be allowed to explore their arts in peace.
At the height of the Brirenthian Empire the city was a bustling hub of artists and traveling showman, but in the waning years of the empire it has seen an influx of people trying to commodify the art at every turn. It has become known as an extremely cheap place for the trade-less vagabonds that delve the ruins of the former ages. All of the art has been commodified and lacks any real expression as the Artist Guild low ago disbanded or moved to larger cities elsewhere in Neomerin.
One thing remains from the height of the Artist's Guild's power in the city: a large number of hidden speakeasy style cafes and bars that are still popular for those looking for people down on their luck and willing to help if the silver's right.
That's where you find yourselves. You never learned a trade or the one you'd had previously is no longer needed. All that's left for you is creating your own fortune out in the wilds. You're nobody's and no one knows you yet. You banded together in hopes of accomplishing bigger explorations and finally making enough silver to get yourself back on your feet.
You've all gathered a rumors or leads on an odd job someplace (roll d100).
Now either use the map and pick a place you wanna go and prepare for some overland travel or start seeking out someone in town that can give more info on a lead or rumor, start looking for new ones rumors to follow up on, or odd jobs someone may have for you to earn some extra silver.
