High Clans
High Clan refers to a set of clans who are typically viewed (at least by themselves) as being superior to the other clans. They call all other clans Low Clans. Even those who are of Bloodlines within these clans are viewed as Low Clans if discovered. The High Clans members are usually those who are, in fact, influential within politics or religion.
The High Clans are:
Brujah (Core only) - The traditions of Carthage runs strong within the Elders and Luminaries, and the Brujah continue to uphold this tradition.
Cappadocian (All) - The impact of the Feast of Folly is still being felt across the world, as the most scholarly of clans is no longer as numerous as they once were. Cappadocians (even Lamia) continue to be sought after as advisors by the leaders of the kindred.
Lasombra (Core only) - With the clans infiltration of the Catholic Church, and their streng presence among the nobility, the Lasombra continue to be rulers over all others. Toreador (Core only) - While many of this clan make things of beauty and luxury, they most easily find a market for such items. This has led to many of this clan living their nights in money and power.
Tzimiche (Carpathian and Koldun) - There is nothing like the fear and terror a Tzimiche voivode can inspire in peasants. Just ask the peasantry of Eastern Europe. Unlike the other High Clans, the Carpathians do not look down upon the Kolduns among them. Rather, they view the koldunic sorcery they practice as a great strength in keeping interlopers from their domains.
Ventrue (Core only) - Even the most inept of kindred can not fail to see the nobility in the blue blood of the Ventrue. And those who fail to, quickly learn the error of their ways.
Those who are in the High Clans automatically receive the High Clan Greater Moniker, as noted in their descriptions above.
