The Battle of Tchdor was the final phsyical conflict of the Valleyfold War.
Background
Leading to the Valleyfold War, people from the north states of Navoral were tired of the lack of prospects for individuals. Additionally, it was common for powerful arcane users from the north were sequestered to cities in the south where they would become soldiers within their armies. Eventually, the people of the north became known as the Tal'Vorak Rebels, named for the initial leader of the rebellions, Jara Tal'Vorak.
After around two years of rebellion, the Tal'Vorak Rebels started to be led by Holivar Bassoran after the unfortunate passing of Jara. Holivar was known to be a tactical commander and in the course of the next year or two, the rebels were able to "release" several prominent towns in the north of Navoral.
However, there was a contingent of the Navoral nobility who were extremely resistant to the actions of the rebels. This small collective became known as the "Verdance". These nobles were often powerful magic users or tacticians and would lead their own battalion of soldiers who would follow the banner of their noble arms. History often considered the worst of The Verdance to be Lady Trenya Galdreith. She was a powerful noble with a large battalion of soldiers and mages at her disposal. However, as the war went on, Lady Galdreith learned that her best form of defense was to sign an agreement with Mraz'zhoka, the demon lord of The Shiftweave. The empowered state of Lady Galdreith led to her batallion being comprised of soldiers and demonic infested bodies.
Battle
Tchendor Pass was a peaceful valley leading from the collection of northern towns through to the first major southern city. It was also the first sign that the rebels were wishing to make progress into the "southern" regions, despite the city still being north of the river that bisected the two sides of Navoral.
Holivar led a charge through the pass towards the entrenched Galdreith batallion. From there a battle broke out between the two sides. Holivar leading the charge and carving through the soldiers at the front of the pack. However, this was when Lady Galdreith unleashed a bastion of demons onto the crowd from the sides, invoking mass casualties on both sides of the conflict.
Eventually, Holivar came to blows with Lady Galdreith who attacked using a powerful blade made of strange demonic energy. After several strikes between the two, Holivar had Lady Galdreith on her knees, that's when Galdreith called upon her final gambit, summoning the physical form of Mraz'zhoka onto the mortal plane.
The demon rose from the middle of the pass and the entire region was influenced by the Shiftweave and imbued with an aura of prolific change. The entire pass became a smorgasbord of swiriling arcane biomes that infected many of the individuals. The pass seemed to shift between these different biomes and in some areas became an intense arid desert whilst others became an ocean of blood.
The battle ended when High King Dremnock Lasserknock of Terlas felled the demon and Holivar was able to defeat Lady Galdreith and capture her as a prisoner of war, depowering her magical capabilities using a consisent flow of powerful magic.
