Mind's Eye

A Mind's Eye is a small brooch that is crafted from a unique bone from an animal that is extinct. The broach is designed to act as a non-physical shield for the wearer.

Appearance

Carved from an ancient bone, the Mind's Eye is designed to resemble a small shield around the size of a gold coin. Emblazoned in the center of it is a gold looking eye that feels painted onto the shield. Yet strangely, it seems to occasionally look around at different people in the room around them as it stays.

Abilities

When attuned to the brooch, an individual is shielded from dinviation magics that are designed to peer in directly on the individual. However, they are not fully protected from more expansive scrying such as on a location or another object. While appearing in a scrying their form is obscured but can be percieved if an individual is perceptive enough.
Additionally, when attuned to the brooch, the wearer's mind cannot be read or thoughts understood by magical means. Using a command word, the brooch can also be used to make a larger arcane ward that can protect the user from magical effects, granting them an advantage against their unwanted effects.

Melevin uses this deception to allow for her to slink in and around different magical collectives without detection.
